Klezmer music is intended to imitate the human voice, including sounds of crying and laughter. Usually it is the violin's or clarinet's job to work the magic of imitation, however, Vladimir created Klezmer repertoire for the guitar.
His new CD Klezmer Reflections blends together well-known Klezmer melodies (Heizer Bulgar, Hava Nagila, Mizirlou) and traditional songs in Yiddish (Tumbalalaika,Yoshke Fortavek, Chiribim ) with his own compositions (Unreal Run, Prayer, Hassidic Rock) and reflects his deep feelings for Jewish music.
VLADIMIR FRIDMAN is a musician with the ability to move flawlessly through classic, jazz, traditional music of different countries with improvisational spirit, soul and true virtuosity. Vladimir became widely known in the musical community of the Greater Washington area. He frequently performs as member of two wonderful bands Gypsy Strings and Transatlantic Duo, solo and with leading bands and musicians Kol Haruach Klezmer Band, Machaya Klezmer Band, Seth Kibel …)
Vladimir runs a very successful Guitar Studio. Many of his students received awards at the Montgomery County and Maryland State Guitar Competitions.
