The coming IBN DC meeting is on Wednesday, Dec 10, 2008
at the La Madeleine, Rockville at 8:15pm.

Agenda

1. The board will update with the group's current status

2. Main presentation by Mr. Gilad Gazit , public affairs officer at the Embassy of Israel.

3. The title: Briefing on the public diplomacy challenge in the United States: How we explain the Israeli Society to American Audiences.

4. Social.

About Mr. Gilad Gazit

In November 2005, Gilad Gazit assumed the post of Public Affairs Officer at the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C. He is in charge of running the Jerusalem Hall and is a staff member with the Public Affairs department, responsible for producing and distributing online as well as printed advocacy materials.

Mr. Gazit is a veteran software Engineer and has fifteen years of experience in various capacities with the High Tech field in Israel, including Project Manager and Project Planner. He has worked for the University of Haifa and for Intel Corporations development center in Haifa, Israel, prior to moving to the States. As part of his different capacities, he gained a lot of experience in guiding groups of young people, such as teenagers and college students.

Mr. Gazit received his B.A. degree in Geography from the University of Haifa.

He is joined in Washington by his wife and two children.
